Conexión Social

Las conexiones sociales desempeñan un papel crucial en promover la salud integral y prevenir enfermedades. Diversos estudios han demostrado que las relaciones sociales son determinantes significativos de la salud física y mental. Holt-Lunstad, Smith y Layton (2010) resaltan que las conexiones sociales no solo favorecen la longevidad, sino que también protegen contra enfermedades crónicas, como enfermedades cardiovasculares y diabetes, al reducir el estrés y promover hábitos saludables. De manera similar, Bower y Kroenke (2015) en su meta-análisis, evidencian que el apoyo social es un predictor independiente de longevidad y healthspan.
